The right first AI project is rarely the loudest one. Start with a workflow that is frequent, bounded, measurable, and frustrating for the people doing it.
Look for repeatable decisions
AI earns trust when it gives people a better starting point: a summary, a drafted response, a prioritized queue, or a clear next action. Map the moments where your team repeatedly reads, compares, classifies, or writes.
Measure before you build
Choose one baseline: cycle time, error rate, conversion, or hours returned to the team. That gives a pilot a real finish line, and a reason to invest further.
